When are the auditions for the shows?

Adult auditions

This year we will be holding separate auditions for professional and community cast. Auditions for the adult roles (ages 18+) will take place on the following dates:

Professional cast Sunday 29th Jan & Monday 30th Jan
Lead roles - Romeo & Juliet & Jack Frost
Community cast Sunday 29th Jan
Supporting and non speaking roles - Romeo & Juliet only.

Children’s roles

This year the junior roles are available without audition. Instead, we will hold a half term holiday week-long workshop, followed by six weeks of Sunday rehearsals with the adult cast. Parts will be given out during the week of the workshop. With workshops and rehearsals over three months, it is an extended learning experience!

Please download and read the information pack for full details.

Who are we looking for?

Romeo & Juliet:

We have 12 named lead parts to allocate, ranging from a few lines through to the main lead roles. We are also looking for adult chorus members - cast who don’t have specific lines, but who are a big part of the show. Professional actors will be emailed a prologue to learn when we receive your application. If you are a community actor with significant experience and feel you should be seen for a lead - please email the producers a CV of your work.

This version of Romeo and Juliet, directed by Bart Lee has already enjoyed a great run in Walton in late 2011, some actors from the original cast will be reprising their roles, however we want to see fresh actors for all parts.

Jack Frost:

Lead roles (adults): We are specifically looking for the four leads. All other parts will be played by a junior chorus/under 18’s.You will need to prepare a song with backing track for the audition.

Children (chorus, 40 parts): Open to children aged 6-16, who would like to act, sing and dance in a real show this summer! With workshops and rehearsals, it is an extended learning experience! Priority for places goes to residents of Windsor and Maidenhead, students (past and present) of Artemis Studios or their summer schools.
